| So the little girl I tutor three days a week, nine years old, adorable cutie-pie, has to write a paragraph in her writing journal every day.
Yesterday's entry?
"I like my new teacher. She loves me. I like her because she takes showers and smells good."
... thank you, Bath and Bodyworks... for making me smell good so my student wouldn't be repulsed by my stinky odor.

| My favorite things today:
pumpkin and acorn salt & pepper shakers.....
I love fall decorations.

| Let me preface this entry by saying: the only reason why I'm writing so much is because truly, I have nothing to do. I'm waiting on job stuff and my live-in entertainment (Chad) is in WV somewhere until tomorrow night... so I've watched episodes 1 - 12 of Prison Break, Season 1, and hit the mall three times (to escape Pittsburgh heat - it's been in the 90s and we don't have A/C - you get the picture).
SO
I watched Miss Potter a couple nights ago. It's the story of the life of Beatrix Potter, the author. I don't have any idea if it's a true depiction, but regardless, it was such a heartwarming tale of love and her books. I have read the Tales of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle-Duck and Jeremy Fisher Frog countless times; the wonder, the illustrations, the innocence and simplicity of the books (and the movie) were simply delicious. The movie felt like slipping on your favorite pair of slippers and sipping hot cocoa from your favorite mug. Granted, it tried to push women's rights a little and no need for men, but in the end the girl fell in love with the boy, blah blah blah. If you liked her books, see this movie if only to get you to read her books again.
My second experience was with a book I just read. I told you I was bored! Kite Runner was a tremendous read. I can't begin to describe how riveted I was. Made me cry, made me reflect, made me feel. Difficult and splendid writing. Read it if you have any heart for the plight of the human race - of sin and guilt, of family and shame, of redeeming love.
Okay, enough pontificating for me.
And yeah, Prison Break is pretty good, but it's mainly for the eye candy.

| And the death toll climbs to 2.
How many more mice will die before the insanity stops?
Believe me, we'll find out.
